Boat Sellers description
This boat has spent the last two years being fully restored and refitted at a respected local boat yard. She has had an incredible amount of work done at huge expense to get her back to her stunning classic sailing best, and offers the true broads sailing experience from a bygone age.
The work done includes all damaged wood being fully replaced in the hull and sides, new decks being laid and cabin roof being replaced so the work just on the wooden structure has been extensive and carried out to a very high standard. She has also been fully epoxy coated from the hull to the coach roof. She has also had some more modern upgrades to make her comfortable with a full size double, a good size refrigerator, new electric heads, electric mast lowering and raising via a remote control electric winch, 4 batteries and smart charging via shore power. She is a true time capsule with a wonderfully comfortable saloon and well equipped cruising galley which both exude style and classic comfort.
Her substantial wooden mast was new about 12 years ago and was made by respected wooden boat builder Colin Buttifant. She was re launched a couple of months ago following her extensive refit and works, and is freshly antifouled and has a new Boat Safety cert that runs into 2025. The foresail is a manual furling type made by respected broadland sail makers Jeckells, and Jeckells also supplied the mainsail. There is an additional top sail and an unused Genoa also included with the vessel and all sails are advised to be in excellent order.
Her Yanmar diesel engine was fitted new in 2014 and starts and runs very nicely indeed. Lastly, she comes with a full all over cover and other covers for the cockpit etc as you would expect. If you love to sail the beautiful Norfolk Broads and yearn for the classic bygone heyday of the area, then this stunning vessel will be exactly what you would want to explore the waterways, in fully restored style and modern comfort. She is a very rare example of this gentleman’s cruising yacht and must be seen to be fully appreciated These boat details are subject to contract.
